SocietyPress 1.5.68: email template changes now save

SocietyPress 1.5.68 is out. It’s a bug fix, and we recommend updating. Update from Dashboard → Updates, or download it from the download page.

What’s fixed

Email template changes now save. Editing a subject or message under Email Templates and pressing Save showed “Email templates saved.” but kept the old text. The same problem could lose the “From” name and address entered on the last step of the setup wizard, and some other settings saved from screens outside Settings.

What to do: after updating, if you edited an email template or your “From” details recently, check them under Email Templates and make the change again if it didn’t take.

For developers

societypress_settings is registered through the Settings API, so sp_sanitize_settings() ran on every update_option() of that array during admin requests, not just Settings form posts. Its per-tab filter keeps only keys belonging to the submitting Settings tab, so a full-array save from plugin code matched no tab and was dropped. The sanitizer now returns the array as given when the request didn’t come through options.php (no option_page in $_POST). Those callers already verify nonces and capabilities and sanitize each value. Settings-form saves are filtered exactly as before.
